Increase the size of the enclosure as they grow.Diet: The best staple diet is grass and leaves, they eat fresh greens such as romaine lettuce, dandelion, collard greens, kale, turnip greens, and any of the darker lettuce types Variation is Key! They need a little more protein than other species. Some keepers offer insects as a supplement. Water: As hatchlings, they should be soaked in shallow water, twice a week for 15 to 30 minutes to be fully hydrated watch videos for instructions!Handling: Tortoises generally should not be handled with any regularity.
